Professor Ghassan Al-Utaibi, holds a PhD from Lancaster University’s School of Management in the area of Decision Support Systems, an MBA and a BA in Business Administration.
Prof. Al-Utaibi has more than 30 years of experience as a professor, dean, advisor, international expert, senior management professional, business consultant and trainer in the UK, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, and Syria. Offer a range of transferable skills within the areas of public sector reform and development, quality assurance and excellence, strategic planning, business process re-engineering, scenario planning, and decision support systems in both private and public sectors.
During his work, Prof. Al-Utaibi has served several universities such as Kuwait University, Jordan University, Applied Science University, Arab Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, Amman Arab University for Graduate Studies and New York Institute of Technology. He has extensive experience in higher education accreditation (QAA Standards), and quality assurance and excellence in education. He has also advised several organisations including prime minister offices in Yemen and Syria through UNDP programs, the Arab Administrative Development Organisation of the Arab League, in addition to numerous organisations in UK, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government.
Prof. Al-Utaibi has been engaged in projects that have ranged from high level strategic undertakings through to people centered change management. Key international organizations experience includes UNDP – Yemen, UNDP–Syria, UNDP–Iraq, USAID, USTDA, GTZ and World Bank. He has also been a senior assessor in the Government of Dubai Excellence Awards, the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence, Abu Dhabi Excellence Awards, and Sheikh Saqr RAK Award of Excellence.
